The Merida Reacto Disc 7000 E is an aero road bike built to be the fastest bike you’ve ever ridden on race day. Merida have built this bike for the rider that is after any extra edge while racing and it all starts with the Reacto CF2 frame. The Reacto carbon frame is built from the highest quality fibres to reduce weight and maintain strength, while the aggressive pro geometry with NACA Fastback profiled tubes offer amazing aero efficiency in combination with the BB386 which significantly enhances power transfer. The carbon fork with tapered steerer is incredibly responsive and you can ride with complete confidence, knowing that you’re in control of this silky smooth ride.
An amazing frame needs an amazing groupset, and the 2×11 speed Shimano Ultegra Di2 groupset delivers on every facet. You’ll have the gear range for every occasion, while the electronic Di2 shifting is so easy and crisp you’ll never be able to ride without it again. The integrated Vision Metron 6D cockpit improves aerodynamics and hides the Di2 junction box. The Shimano Ultegra Di2 Hydraulic Disc Brakes with 160mm rotors offer the best braking you could ask for on a road bike, giving you the confidence to attack corners and take the most aggressive line on race day. It’s great to have that level of control, because you’ll be getting up some serious speed on the DT Swiss P1800 Spline DB32 wheels and Continental Grand Sport Race tyres which combine to help this bike become the ultimate speed machine.
With this bike Merida has shown again that an aero bike can be comfortable, without being super heavy and clunky. With everything geared towards making this a lightning fast bike you might think comfort is sacrificed, however the profiled seat post behaves like a conventional seat post providing a great level compared to other aero bikes. The Merida Reacto Disc 7000 E can match it with the best bikes going around, with an incredible frame, groupset and wheels, this bike is all about speed. With the Reacto you won’t have to react to the opposition as you’ll be setting the pace on the front.
Reacto CF2 Frame: Carbon CF2 frame with more relaxed geometry than the CF4 (caliper version approx. 1150 g – 54 / disc version approx. 1150 g – M/L). ‘NACA Fastback’ profile tubes for efficient aerodynamics. Tapered head tube for confidence inspiring handling and BB386 bottom bracket for efficient power transfer. Caliper version runs quick release hubs, Disc version has 12 mm bolt through axles with disc cooler technology.
Precise Steering: All REACTO models feature a full carbon fork with a tapered steerer to give precise, confidence inspiring handling. Aluminium and CF2 carbon models feature a ‘regular’ 1 1/8″ to 1 1/2″ taper. The high end CF4 frame has a slimmed down front profile and uses a 1 1/8″ to 1 1/4″ taper.
Disc Cooling Technology: A forged aluminium part under the front and rear disc brake caliper draws heat away through CNC-milled cooling fins, giving 35% less heat build up and faster temperature reduction for a stable braking performance.
Integrated Cockpit: Our high-performance carbon models with the CF4 frame feature a completely integrated Vision Metron 6D cockpit designed by MERIDA, to improve aero-dynamics and hide the Di2 junction box. The integration also provides a very clean, organic and modern appearance.
Streamlined Comfort: Comfort has always been a key feature of the REACTO. Many aero bikes suffer from a harsh ride due to the larger tube sections and seat posts. Not so on the REACTO, where our profiled seat post behaves like a conventional seat post providing a great level of comfort amongst other aero bikes.
